Deposit, Payment & Cancellation Policy.

The following policies and procedures approved by Gumala Tourism apply to all bookings for the Karijini Eco Retreat (Eco Tents and Campsites) made by telephone, e-mail and via the web.

The WA School Holiday/Long Weekend terms and conditions apply to all reservations staying during the following event periods and are inclusive

2019

Queens Birthday - 30th September 2019
West Australia School Holidays
Term 1: 13th April to 28th April 2019
Term 2: 6th July to 21st July 2019
Term 3: 28th September to 13th October 2019

2020

Easter - 10th April 2020 to 13th April 2020
Anzac Day (holiday) - 27th April 2020
Western Australia Day - 1st June 2020
Queens Birthday - 28th September 2020
West Australia School Holidays
Term 1: 10th April to 27th April 2020
Term 2: 4th July to 19th July 2020
Term 3: 26th September to 11th October 2020
The above dates are subject to change without prior notice.

 

Booking Terms & Conditions

Policy for WA School Holiday/Long Weekend Dates

• Minimum stay of 2 nights will apply
• Deposit equal to total accommodation package cost for one night to be paid at time of booking if booked more than 42 days prior to arrival date (campsites and packages/offers payable in full at time of reservation)
• Balance payment due no later than 42 days prior to booked arrival date - please call Reservations on (08) 9425 5591

We reserve the right to cancel the booking if we are unable to collect payment.

Guest Cancellations

Cancellations MUST be made in writing to reservations@karijiniecoretreat.com.au from the original e-mail address used at the time of booking (refer to booking confirmation).
Alternatively, guests who booked via our direct website and have an 8 digit confirmation number may use the cancellation button found on the home page of our site.
Refunds cannot be processed for cancelled reservations until we receive written notification in accordance with the policy detailed below.

Policy for WA School Holiday/Long Weekend Dates

Guests advising cancellations:

• 42 days or more prior to the booked arrival date will be entitled to a full refund of deposit monies paid
• Less than 42 days out but more than 7 days prior to the booked arrival date will be charged a one night accommodation package fee plus a $40 administration fee per booking (or part booking) and the balance of monies held will be refunded
• 7 days or less prior to the booked arrival date will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of booking value (minimum charge of one night accommodation pacakage fee) plus a $40 administration fee per booking (or part booking) and the balance of monies held will be refunded.

Policy for Non WA School Holiday/Long Weekend Dates

• Minimum stay of 1 night
• Deposit equal to total accommodation package cost for one night to be paid at time of booking (campsites and packages/offers payable in full at time of reservation)
• No further payment prior to arrival required

We reserve the right to cancel the booking if we are unable to collect payment.

• 7 days or less prior to the booked arrival date will be charged a one night accommodation fee (but no other fees will be charged) and the balance of funds held will be refunded (if any).

Policy for low season period (1st November to 31st March)

Guests advising cancellations:

7 days or less prior to the booked arrival date will be charged a one night accommodation package fee (but no other fees will be charged) and the balance of funds held will be refunded (if any).

 

Early departure/cancellations beyond Guest control

Circumstances beyond Guest control i.e. weather/road closures/bush fire/infrastructure problems because of remote operation etc:

In the event that guests need to depart because we have to make them leave for some reason beyond the guests control or if they cannot get in due to road closures etc. then they will only be charged for what they have consumed (if anything) i.e. accommodation charges for the nights they have stayed, food, beverages and kiosk sales. Please note that road/park closures must be verified by us and you must contact us to confirm the same prior to any refund being made. Any cancellations must be made directly with us and not with a third party.

A refund of unused nights paid for in advance will then be given and no administration fee will be charged.


Guest Curtailment

Policy for WA School Holiday/Long Weekend Dates

Should guests wish to leave early through their own choice they will:

• Be charged for anything they have consumed to the date of the cancellation and
• Be charged a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the accommodation charges (minimum one night accommodation package fee) that would have been charged to their account for the balance of booking which is unused at the time of cancellationplus a $40 administration fee.

Policy for Non WA School Holiday/Long Weekend Dates

Should guests wish to leave early through their own choice they will be charged for anything they have consumed to the time of departure plus a one night accommodation package fee per booking (or part booking) and the balance of funds will be refunded (if any)

Please note that charges will be made for any cancelled nights/guests in line with the above policies.
Refunds are NOT made for missed nights/no-shows under any circumstances.

 

Credit Card Surcharges

Credit card surcharges apply (Mastercard 1.20%, Visa: 1.06%, Diners 2.93%, Amex: 1.96%).
