Entry into the National Park and to the Eco Retreat is via an unsealed road, (gravel) although this road is graded regularly we recommend AWD/4WD vehicles to be used. For detailed driving directions please open the link at the bottom of this page.

Main Roads WA would like to advise road users that the Nanutarra-Munjina Road from Paraburdoo Tom Price Road to Auski is closed to all vehicles.
The road closure has been put in place due to water over the road.

Cyclone Season: The safety of our guests and staff are of the utmost importance to us. Cyclones can occur in northern Western Australia - usually between November and April. In the event of a Cyclone Alert being issued by the Bureau of Meteorology, we reserve the right to close the property if deemed necessary. In such circumstances all deposits will be refunded in full. However, we cannot be responsible for any other expenses incurred by guests affected by such a closure.

HAMERSLEY GORGE REDEVELOPMENT
DEC wishes to advise that Hamersley Gorge redevelopment is still in progress.
Due to the ongoing works, the Hamersley Gorge Road and day use area remain closed to all unauthorised vehicles and pedestrians until further notice.

Guests are advised that Karijini Eco Retreat remains closed until further notice while roads and conditions are assessed. Please note that many gorges and recreation areas within the park also remain closed with the exception of those detailed below:
KARIJINI
DEC advises that subject to further rainfall, the following areas only will be OPEN to the public from Saturday 21 January 2012:
•Banjima Drive - eastern sealed road section only
•Dales Camping Area
•Dales Day use area
•Three-ways Lookout
•Circular Pool and Fortescue Falls
•Gorge Rim Walk (Callitris Track)
The Dales Gorge track between Circular Pool and Fortescue Falls remains closed due to unstable trees and rocks in the gorge.
Other areas remain CLOSED until further notice, pending safety inspections and road repairs. Visitors are urged to observe all safety signs and road closed signs.
MILLSTREAM CHICHESTER
The level of the Fortescue River is declining, however the Millstream precinct is expected to remain closed until further notice.
Python Pool is open to the public.
