The Gumala Aboriginal Corporation and the management and staff of Karijini Eco Retreat are excited to announce their 2009 Australian Hotels Association Award for Excellence in WA's Best Tourism Initiative category.

WA’s hotel and hospitality industry stepped out Monday night to recognise excellence across the sector. The Lion Nathan Gala Ball and presentation of the 2009 AHA Aon Hotel Awards for Excellence was held in the Grand Ballroom at Burswood Entertainment Complex and drew a crowd of 1100.

The night of celebration showcased finalists and winners across 45 categories including standards of excellence in service; presentation; the responsible service of alcohol; innovation; redevelopment; tourism and accommodation.

The AHA Aon Hotel Awards for Excellence continue to be the most prestigious awards night for the industry acknowledging the pursuit of excellence in the hotel & hospitality industry.
