The management, staff and partners of Karijini Eco Retreat were thrilled to have been announced as gold medallists in the New Business Development category of the 2007 WA Tourism awards. The prestigious gold medals are awarded to entrants in various award categories whose submission ranks between 90 – 100%. 

Tourism Council WA have held the Western Australian Tourism awards competition since 1972 and have played a major role in assisting the industry to strive for excellence over these years, working with the industry to improve standards and ensure superior delivery of product so visitors have a positive experience, thus encouraging repeat visits.

The National Tourism Accreditation Program, operated by Tourism Council WA in this state, is a perfect example of how the Council assists tourism operators to achieve these outcomes.
